[CENTER]A few months ago, my wife bought a kitchen helper called a mandolin. It is a slicer. A single blade, super sharp, set on a plastic ramp. You simply set your thickness setting with a dial and scale on the side of the device. Then take whatever you desire to slice, put it into the holder (NOW THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT) and slice away. Perfect slices, every time.
